Dolls

I went to the library to get away from
the lunch rush the other day and came
across a collection of porcelain dolls
clothed in traditional and old-fashioned
miniature outfits. The dolls are made
by Gladys Bush and are part of the
"Dreams of Children in Australia and Japan"
exhibition at the Brisbane Central Library
until 30 April.

I have always loved china dolls - I have
four and would have loved to take these
lovely creations home!

They remind me a little bit of Lover's "Sacred Hearts" A/W 09 collection. It's got something to do with the schoolhat and uniform dress, the plaits, the poses and the pretty simplicity of it all.
