The Peronists are cool for three reasons:(a) They take their name directly from ex-Argentine President Juan Peron and his wife Eva Peron, who fought to end poverty and promote labour rights.
(b) They are part of the expanding 'neo-cumbia' movement in South America which combines traditional cumbia made by destitutes and slaves with contemporary genres like dancehall, reggaeton, techno and electronica.
(c) They are from Buenos Aires, which means they are probably requested nightly by the kids at the coolest club in the Southern hemisphere - - Zizek Club.
(d) They have remixed Notorious B.I.G. and the Mario theme in cumbia-style - - totally danceable!
